The Voyageur

These days many of us can share updates about our lives practically in real time. Keeping connected with far flung Clearwater friends doesn’t have to wait for the annual Voyageur anymore! Never a place to surrender traditions easily, keeping Clearwater’s yearly call for alumnae Voyageur submissions remains important

Nearly two years ago we developed a strategic plan to chart a course for the future. Central was the creation of the mission statement that captures the essence and philosophies of our beloved founders, Halokwe and Sunny: To foster confidence, courage, compassion, and community – four points on Clearwater’s compass –by providing a traditional sleepaway camp experience for girls.

This year’s call for alumnae submissions hopes to connect our community across the generations to this very mission.

Do you have an example of one of the “4Cs” –
Confidence, Courage, Compassion or Community
– in action in your life?

Is there an accomplishment or adventure that called upon the things your learned or gained during your years at camp? We would love to celebrate them together.  And if you prefer to share additional news, please do not hesitate to do so!

You can submit your news by simply emailing me at Please include your years at camp and any contact information you would like to share with your submission.  We look forward to hearing from you!

All the best,
Steph Cotherman
Marketing Committee Chair, Clearwater Board of Directors
