Dear Friends of the Clearwater Trail,

Thank you for your outpouring of support for Clearwater’s Voyageur Campaign!

With your help, we have raised $1 million since last summer for our beloved camp along Tomahawk Lake. That brings us to a total of $1.8 million in cash and $1.7 in pledges raised!

While an impressive feat, there is still more we need to do.

With your help, the Voyageur Campaign will reach its September 2007 deadline of raising the $2.5 million in cash and $3 million in pledges needed to acquire camp from six shareholders and create one of the nation’s premier non-profit camps.

Because the Clearwater Camp Foundation is the recipient of a $1 Million Challenge Grant for its Voyageur Campaign efforts, that means we have just $400,000 more to raise in order to meet our cash goal! The Leadership Challenge Grant will match any new donation — dollar for dollar — up to a total gift of $1 million dollars.

This incredible challenge has been given to Clearwater Camp by a generous, multi-generation camp family in their efforts to engage a broad base of support to Clearwater, encourage individuals to increase their own personal giving for Clearwater and to cultivate new leadership donations from families able to give at that level.

Participation matters at any level — and now there has never been a better time to be part of the Voyageur Campaign! Your donation will be doubled with the Leadership Challenge Grant!

Because of the tremendous outpourings of ongoing efforts, enthusiasm and donations, this $1 Million Challenge was made to help us reach the finish line so that Clearwater will indeed span the generations.

We have three more months to go and $400,000 more dollars to raise before our first major deadline for the Voyageur Campaign. As alumnae, families and neighbors, we understand Clearwater’s value for current and future generations. With the $1 Million Leadership Challenge Grant, I'm confident we will be celebrating success by summer's end.
