Today marks 37 days until we welcome our first session campers! We’re starting to count down the days. Have you been seeing our countdown to summer posts? In the meantime, over the course of the next few weeks we’ll be announcing our 2017 Summer Staff. We want you to get to know our counselors, both new and returning. They are talented and energetic and we are thrilled to have them part of the team.

Hi! My name is Katie and i’m looking forward to my first summer as a camp counselor at Clearwater. I am currently studying Politics and International Relations at the University of Aberdeen. In my spare time I am the secretary for my university’s drama society and enjoy performing with all my friends! This summer I am looking forward to meeting everyone and learning about the camp’s traditions!

My name is Kate and I’m looking forward to my 8th summer at Clearwater. I’m currently attending DePauw University studying Kinesiology and playing varsity field hockey. In my free time I enjoy being outside as much as possible. I’m looking forward to another fun summer on Tomahawk Lake sailing, waterskiing, reuniting with old friends and making new ones!

Hey, my name is Gabi! I’m super thrilled to be a first time staff member at Clearwater! I grew up in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, a town 20 minutes away from Mad-town (Madison). I am currently an English major at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and I will be a Junior this coming fall. I am an active volleyball player and can’t wait to teach some campers how to play! I also love writing and all art in general, so I’m hoping I can introduce the campers on some fun techniques! Overall, I’m super pumped to spend my summer surrounded by a great community!

Hello! My name is Emily Jolly and I am so excited for my ninth summer at Clearwater! This past semester I studied abroad in Scotland at the University of Glasgow, and in the fall I will return to Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania for my senior year, where I study English and Media & Communications. I enjoy reading, knitting, and spending time with friends. This summer I am looking forward to teaching archery, leading trips, and swimming in the clear water of Lady Tom.

Hey guys! I’m Maddie and I cannot wait to spend my tenth summer at Clearwater! My hometown is Champaign, Illinois but I go to school at Miami University in Ohio. I’m double-majoring in Economics and Film, and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. My friends would probably describe me as adventurous, easygoing, and optimistic, and in my free time I love to do anything outdoors, listen to music, or hang out with people… So pretty much how we’ll be spending our summer at camp :). I am so excited to meet all my campers and accomplish something new together!
