Christy is the third of four generations of Clearwater campers. After receiving a BA degree at the University of Utah, Christy and her husband moved to northern Illinois, where they raised their two children. Before moving to the Northwoods, Christy was the office manager for many years at an internationally renowned Japanese garden in Rockford, Illinois. She attributes much of her success, sense of humor, and “can-do” perspective to the independence she learned as a camper.
