Drew Dalton

Board Vice President

I spent my happiest summers as a boy at Camp Sea Gull in Arapahoe, NC.  There I learned to sail a boat, sit up straight, speak plainly, and stand up for what’s good, right, and true.  Somewhere between navigating the channels of the Neuse River and the complexities of adolescence, I discovered the person I still aspire to be today.  So when my daughter was old enough, I knew I had to find a special place where she too could take the time necessary to discover who she wanted to be.  Clearwater Camp for Girls was that place.

Today, I am the proud parent of a Clearwater alumna who continues to draw on all that she learned from her 6 summers on the banks of Lake Tomahawk to grow in strength from day to day.  Through her eyes, I fell in love with Clearwater and so was overjoyed when I was asked to join to Board in 2017.  In this capacity I strive to give back to Clearwater just a little bit of all Clearwater has given to her.

When not attending to camp business I am a professor of Philosophy at Dominican University in River Forest, IL where I guide my students in critical thinking and logic and write articles and books on ethics.
