Helloooo, beautiful people! My name is Elise, and I’m a rising senior at Gustavus Adolphus College, majoring in Communication Arts/Literature Teaching 🙂 This will be my THIRD summer working at Clearwater as a counselor, and I’m excited to get to see everyone again! At Gustavus Adolphus College (GAC for short), I’m involved in a few things such as: – Singing with GAC’s Chapel Choir – A little club known as the Dead Poets Society, which I started with my roommate during our Sophomore year – Gustie Greeters — a group of upperclassmen who put together an Orientation program to welcome First Years to GAC – Writing for The Fourth Crown — GAC’s satirical newspaper – Working as a Campus Tour Guide Okay, I know that probably sounds like a lot, but I kind of like it that way — and I still have enough free time to sit down with a good book every once in a while (such as Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler), so I count that as a win! I’m looking forward to coming back to Clearwater and having some needed time on Lake Tomahawk, away from technology. Most of all, I miss the people here — the staff and the campers alike — and so I can’t wait to come back to the Clearwater community. See you soon! <3
