Summer 2021 Plans

This is a dynamic page updated with the latest information as plans are made.

(Last update was made on March 4, 2021 at 9 am MST)

Clearwater’s board and staff are committed to providing the Clearwater Camp experience in 2021.

The “spirit” of Clearwater cannot and will not be diminished as we prepare for the best summer experience for our campers and staff. We want 2021 to be one of our greatest summers ever! However, we will be adding some modifications to ensure camper and staff health and safety; and camp will be a little different this summer.

With this in mind, this will be THE PLACE to find our Summer 2021 plans.

At this time (March 4, 2021), the situation continues to evolve regarding best practices to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and to keep people healthy and safe. While all the specific details for 2021 at Clearwater have not been finalized, please be assured that our team is working diligently using regulations, recommendations, and guidance from the State of Wisconsin, the American Camping Association (ACA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local health departments, and medical experts.

Below, we have addressed a few questions that we have been asked in the Frequently Asked Questions section. We will continue to add information as we make decisions. We also plan to update our Handbook & Resources by the end of March.

If you do not see an answer to your question, please submit your question or contact our office at 715-356-5030. Our staff will respond to you quickly and you may find that your question is added to this list below to help out others with a similar question!

We have always been committed to providing a safe environment for campers, families, staff, and our local community. Now it is more important than ever and we appreciate your support and flexibility as we create the best summer ever in 2021!

In order to protect the health and safety of our campers and staff, outside visitors, including parents will not be allowed to visit at Clearwater. Please check with Office Manager Melinda Pearce for more information  melinda@clearwatercamp.org or 715-356-5030.

Will you be holding any on-site camp informational tours this summer?

We love showing camp to new campers and their families. If you plan a visit before or after camp programs are in session, we will determine how we can show you camp. Please contact our Office Manager Melinda Pearce for tour information at melinda@clearwatercamp.org or 715-356-5030.

Do you have advice about how I can talk to my camper about this summer?

Kids are very flexible and are probably super excited to get to camp. However, please prepare them that there may be some changes to what they may have experienced in the past or might be expecting, but camp will be SUPER FUN!! …more here…blah blah blah…

What are the options if I have paid my deposit and/or tuition? Can I get a refund?

NOTE: held over from 2020 – I think we can modify the answer to this one

For those of you who have registered and have paid full or partial tuition, you have the following options:

  1. We can send you a check to reimburse you for payments made or a percentage of payments made
  2. You can choose to defer all, or a percentage of amounts paid to cover the 2021 camp season
  3. You can designate all or a percentage of amounts paid as a tax-deductible charitable contribution to Clearwater

Please contact Melinda Pearce melinda@clearwatercamp.org to indicate your preference.

Alums/Volunteers/Neighbors

Are you planning on hosting Work Weekend and Family Camp in 2021?

We do not currently have an answer to this question but plan to provide this information by the end of March.
