Things to Do

Downtown Minocqua

Spend the day exploring, eating, and shopping in the historic “Island City”. Oneida St in the heart of downtown lined with shops full of souvenirs for every member of the family.

Min-aqua Bats

One of the oldest waterski show teams in the United States today, the Min-Aqua Bats Waterski Club originated in 1950. Many of the acts performed in the show today were developed and perfected during the early years of the Min-Aqua Bats Waterski Club.

Free Water Ski Shows on Sun, Wed, and Fri at 7pm! Shows run from mid-June to the Friday before Labor Day.

Mini Golf

There are no shortage of Mini Golf courses scattered throughout the Minocqua area, but perhaps the most iconic one is Settler’s Mill, located at 7940 US-51, Minocqua, WI, just north of Clearwater on Hwy 51. After a round of golf, enjoy delicious frozen custard or timed trials at the Go-kart tracks nearby.

Fred Scheer’s Lumberjack Show

Steeped in the logging history of Wisconsin’s north woods, a blend of sport, history and comedy. Great entertainment for all ages. Watch world champion competitors battle it out in the Olympics of the forest. Comedy routines keep everyone laughing throughout the fast paced show and every performance includes a special Yo-Ho contest for the kids.

Bearskin State Trail

Walk, Run, or Bike along the Bearskin trail. Both trailheads are near State Highway 51 and have parking available. The north trailhead is right in downtown Minocqua and the south trailhead is near the intersection of County Highway K and Highway 51 in Oneida County. The South Blue Lake rest area is at the center of the trail and has water, restrooms, picnic tables and grills. Find the trail map and more information here.
