Jennifer Lee is excited to join the Clearwater family as the Associate Director. Her guiding principle is to create an engaging place for campers where they will discover new interests as they learn to live in community. Building true friendships and confidence through hands-on activities and time in the outdoors is an incredible experience. She is also passionate about supporting the growth of the counselors and staff as they create the camp magic and develop skills that last long after the summer.
Jennifer grew up in the Chicago suburbs and currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina during the school year. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from Valparaiso University in 2003, and a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in 2007. Her career in higher education has taken her to universities in Illinois, Ohio, and North Carolina while working in admissions, residence life, student organizations, and academic advising.
As a camper, counselor, and leadership team member, Jennifer has journeyed to camps in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Texas. She considers her time at camp life changing. Camp is where she grew up, discovered her true self, and developed as a leader. Over the years, her professional experience has included serving as a Program Director, Media Director, and Staff Coordinator and Trainer.
Jennifer says, “Summer 2019 can’t get here soon enough! I look forward to getting to know our campers, counselors, families, and alumnae. I have been so impressed with the spirit, traditions, and goals of Clearwater and the support for the future. I am honored to be a part of the team and ready to create the summer camp magic on the shores of Tomahawk Lake. I am excited to meet you all, so please send me a quick email anytime with your ideas or thoughts at jennifer@clearwatercamp.org.”
Jennifer will officially begin on March 18th. Let’s “set the air reverberating with a rousing cheer” and welcome Jennifer to Clearwater Camp!
