Cabin Staff
Being a staff member at Clearwater Camp is one of the most rewarding, and sometimes challenging, experiences you can have. Our cabin staff help make the magic of camp come to life. Cabin counselors are responsible for a cabin of 4 to 6 girls and provide dynamic instruction in an activity area that we determine based on skills and need. Cabin Counselor
Responsibilities: The Cabin Counselor is responsible for guiding, supervising, and organizing campers in the cabin, in activities, on trips, and throughout camp in keeping with the values of Clearwater Camp. Cabin counselors assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers in the cabin and on overnight wilderness trips; maintain high standards of health and safety throughout camp for campers and staff; develop and deliver program that is fun, engaging, and appropriate for the age and ability of campers; manage and care for the physical facilities and equipment in cabin and activity area.
Qualifications
- Must have completed one year of college or like experience with a high school diploma/equivalent.
- Training and experience in teaching camp program activity areas to children helpful, current certification, education, or documented training a plus.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, or Wilderness First Responder where required, training is available.
- Current Waterfront Lifeguard certification where required, training available.
Base Salary: $3000
Unit Head
Responsibilities: Unit Heads are in charge of assisting and supervising all cabin counselors for a specific age group. Alongside their own duties as a cabin counselor, they are also responsible for planning unit events, such as unit nights, parties, or Sunday Service, checking in with and helping their unit staff, solving unit wide problems, and representing their unit in leadership team meetings. Unit Heads are also responsible for logistical planning for the unit during pre-camp.
Qualifications
- Must have completed two years of college or like experience with a high school diploma/equivalent.
- At least one year of previous experience as a cabin counselor
- Training and experience in teaching camp program activity areas to children helpful, current certification, education, or documented training a plus.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, or Wilderness First Responder where required, training is available.
- Current Waterfront Lifeguard certification where required, training available.
Base Salary: $3500
