Clothing and Equipment
Camp is a place where living is simple, so there is no need to overpack. While we hope for sunny skies, it can also be cool and damp, so pack clothing that can be layered.
Along those lines, we would ask you and your camper to embrace the opportunity to live more simply by leaving any expensive, designer, or name-brand clothing, accessories, or cosmetics at home. Camp is a time to get away from societal pressures and when there is too much emphasis on “stuff” or “who has what” it can have a very negative impact on the camp culture.
All clothing, equipment, and camper belongings must be labeled. At a minimum, please include the camper’s first name and the first letter of their last name, as many have the same first name. Clearwater Camp is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
SETTLING INTO A CABIN: Most of the camper’s clothing will be kept in dresser drawers, with seldom-used items stored in the duffle under the bunks. Please note that our cabins do not have space for large camp trunks.
LAUNDRY SERVICE: Laundry goes out once a week and returns the next day. Each camper is required to have her FIRST and LAST name on her laundry bag with 3 inch letters. Please label both sides of the laundry bag.
